ABOUT ME

Jeanmarie has loved every aspect of theatre for as long as she can remember.

Her first moments on stage included singing a solo on Christmas Eve at her local church and leading the Lullaby League on stage in her first musical ever, “The Wizard of Oz”.

Jean has always loved being an entertainer, from putting on shows for her teddy bears to making her mom listen to her sing the entirety of “Les Miserables” in the car on a long ride home.

“I come from a super energetic and supportive family. A lot of my family have done or still work in theatre! I’m extremely lucky to have such wonderful, crazy people in my life who were always willing to take me to and from rehearsal after rehearsal. I grew up near Boston, Massachusetts in an area with never ending performance opportunities at community theatres. My first “big” show was “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at Marblehead Little Theatre in Marblehead, MA. I’ll never forget how electric it felt to be on stage with such talented players and audiences of 500+ people. After that, I couldn’t stop. I started performing in shows at school and even won a few awards for my performances at the METG Drama Festival. When it came time for college, I knew I had to pursue theatre. I knew it would be hard, but I also knew nothing else would make me happy. I was accepted at Plymouth State University and had the most amazing and life-changing four years there. I was president of the improv club/troupe for two years, sang with the all-female a capella group for one year, and even got to travel the world with the auditioned chamber choir. Though the highlight of my college career had to have been studying acting in Dublin, Ireland for a whole month! Soon after, COVID struck and I lost out on a lot of my final college performances and traditions. Despite this, I pushed through, saved up, and moved to Chicago, IL! The rest is history.”
